Arusha
Throughout the years Arusha has remained a relatively small town with a predominant safari and farming community; a melting pot of international settlers ranging from all corners of the world. Although small, Arusha has held and played a central role in the history and subsequent development of colonial and post-colonial Tanzania.
Since it’s humble and somewhat war-torn history, Arusha grew from strength to strength from first being the gateway to the interior for early safari explorers to remaining as that gateway and becoming the safari capital of Tanzania. The proximity of Arusha to all the major safari destinations in Northern Tanzania, has earned this humble town, a big name with veritable and inimitable acclaim. Finally, Arusha’s continental geographical position places it at the central point between Cairo and the Cape thus literally making Arusha the heart of Africa!
